Hello!
I know firsthand how challenging it is to live life on life’s terms without drugs and alcohol, having been in recovery for over 12 years. I became a substance abuse counselor because I wanted others to experience how transformative and rewarding recovery can be. I am also a survivor of domestic violence, and I’ve navigated the legal consequences of addiction for much of my adult life. While I was fortunate to have people in recovery walk alongside me, I also had to learn how to find resources, resolve legal issues, and live on a disability income without support from my family. For me, becoming empowered wasn’t just a skill—it was a necessity. Now, my goal is to help others discover that same sense of empowerment, if and when they choose.
We Do Recover
What helped me most in my own journey was the presence of others who had walked through similar struggles before me. That truth continues to guide my work today. By connecting my humanity with the humanity of those I serve, I strive to create a safe space where individuals and families can discover resilience, reclaim their stories, and build sustainable recovery TOGETHER.
